Position: Seismic Data Technician

Our talented, knowledgeable, and friendly geoscientists are highly adept at providing 2D, 3D and 4D land seismic processing products and services to our clients, using the latest geophysics, data analytics, and emerging technologies to help solve their complex geoscience, energy transition, and environmental goals.
ESPL has a rich 30-year history of providing these innovative seismic imaging solutions to the oil and gas, mining, CCUS, environmental and geotechnical industries using our proprietary software. ESPL employs approximately 40 people with diverse backgrounds, technical, sales and administrative skills.
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced geometry application Seismic Technician to join our team! You will work with an incredible Technician crew with over 110 years of collective experience in a fast-paced environment.
Ideal candidates have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with seismic data and working through front-end processing steps and workflows. General Qualifications include:
§ The ability to keep organized accurate and clear records/logs of data issues.
§ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
§ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with attention to detail.
§ Self-motivated, quick study, and the ability to work both independently and closely with others.
§ Collaborate as needed with other production team members, for efficient production throughput and knowledge transfer.
§ Experience with and understanding of 2D & 3D seismic surveys, seismic acquisition, various seismic data formats, geometry QC, and first break picking QC.
§ Field experience is an asset but not required.
§ Adept in use of a Linux workspace.
Other Qualifications:
§ Canadian Citizen or the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.
§ This will be an office-based position.
